Indy Vegan – Thanks Vegan Potluck!
I often wonder what other cities’ vegetarian/vegan groups are like, if they are active and what kind of activities they have. As for the groups we participate with here in Indianapolis, there about three different vegetarian/vegan groups in our area. One of them – Indy Vegans – is led by a group of young, passionate vegans and they host a vegan thanksgiving dinner every year. This year, they had a terrific venue, The Indy Indie Artist Colony. It was such a cool place and the artwork was really neat.
I absolutely loved some of the artwork.
They also had fliers, coupons for Tofurkey and information for going veggie for the first time.
Food was amazing too. Super delicious. Too bad I only got to take pictures after most of the food was gone!
People brought Tofurkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, various salad dishes and all sorts of desserts. There were multiple cranberry salads, and they were the best I’ve ever had.
I think I had three different pumpkin pies, cookies, fudge and muffins!
We made our bulgogi sandwiches, and they were gone super fast, so we were very happy. Bill came up with the idea of printing this cute flier out to have people come for our recipe as well! 😛
Overall, it was an awesome evening, with hip & compassionate people, sharing wonderful food. Vegetarians and vegans that we’ve met have always been so cool and friendly.
We want to give thanks to all vegans out there and especially our Vegan 8 Korean readers… thank you..!
